Show Notes
Welcome to episode #51 of The We Podcast! In this episode I interview Jaime Carden-O’Brien. Jaime moved to Colorado from Kansas City in 1999 after receiving her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Kansas. She earned a second bachelor’s from Colorado State University and then completed her masters in community counseling at the University of Northern Colorado.
She has worked in the field since 1995, starting at a crisis counseling center in Lawrence, KS. Later, she worked for Crossroads Safehouse in Fort Collins and then moved to Larimer Center for Mental Health before beginning in private practice. She just recently began Free to Be, a personal development movement for adolescent girls. She is married and has 2 daughters who are 9 and 7.
I’ve know Jaime for about 14 years and her love for helping and supporting people is evident in all she does! I’m so excited about the amazing movement she is creating for adolescent girls! I can’t wait for you to get to know her better and hear more about how we can support or teen girls and create a new generation of girls who come from a culture of growth and self-care that is learned at a much younger age than past generations. What a difference this will make in the world!
If you’ve been a teenage girl, or are/will be raising one, you will want to listen for sure!
